Modular Curriculum Format
MCF is a human-readable source language for portable educational content. It defines structure and author intent without binding a course to one compiler, learning platform, runtime, or visual design.

What is standardized
MCF 1.1 covers courses, modules, lessons, activities, nine question types, assignments, rubrics, completion intent, attributed and accessible assets, question banks, localization relationships, safe ZIP packages, extensions, schemas, diagnostics, and conformance classes.
The specification deliberately excludes accounts, gradebooks, learner records, analytics, themes, synchronization, and compiler output.
Source of truth
The website is generated directly from the repository. The 1.1 specification
page consumes spec/MCF.md; it is not a separately maintained copy. The TeX and
PDF editions are reproducibly generated from that same Markdown source.
